Etsy Store - Penguin dive!

So for those of you who know me you know im a keen runner. I've been training for two half marathons in October and im running in aid of the WWF. My beautiful girlfriend Gill has rounded up a group of talented artists and created an online Etsy store where you can buy animal themed prints, all profits go towards my fundraising.

I found time to finish my print for the store and here it is.....

Life Drawing

Heres some recent life drawing

Zoo outing

Now that the weather is a little nicer im trying to get back to the Zoo once in a while for some drawing. Its always great fun observing the animals go about their days whilst trying to sketch them. Hopefully will go more often now its ?summer? here in London!

Voodoo!

Gill got me tickets to a recent life drawing session in Angel at Cass Art. I say recent but I think this was three months ago! maybe more but ah well....It was amazing because it was Voodoo themed! It was a really great session with the models getting into character and it was fun to approach the drawing from a character driven way.

A few months ago, some friends of mine were working on the 'Rock it for me' music video by Caravan Palace.  I was lucky enough to do some 2D FX work for the video. Theres some dust and steam and a cool explosion shot too! :)

First Post!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! First blog post on the new blog, what to say, what to say. Well I guess a brief introduction. Im currently working on 'The Amazing World of Gumball! series 2 as the Lead 2D FX animator and designer. Im really lucky to be working on such a great series, If you haven't seen any of the first series its a really funny show, you should definitely check some out!

I've also been doing some FX tests for the FX course on bitey.com. It's really good, unfortunately i just haven't had the time to keep up with the articles but I would recommend it to anyone interested in traditional FX animation. Im slowly getting through some, below are some distance lightning strikes, and some incense smoke.
